D DAY BEACHES5 DAY 4 NIGHT TOUR

Tour Itinerary

 

DAY 1 -  We travel from Calais to our hotel in Normandy , after freshening up and booking into your room you will be given the option of a trip to Bayeux if you wish to visit the shops and tapestry .

 

DAY 2 -  On day 2 we will explore the places and events in the British and

Canadian sector’s of the landings . Stop number one will be to Merville Batterie and museum , we will then travel onto Pegasus Bridge & the Atlantic Museum at Ouistreham before stopping at Courseulles-Sur-Mer for some lunch . While in the town we will visit the Juno Beach Centre .Our next stop of the day will  be Gold Beach and its museum . Next we move onto Arromanches to visit the acclaimed 360 D Day presentation and the Musee Du Deebarquement . Our final stop of the day is The Batterie De Longues ,This batterie pounded the Allied ships on the morning of June 6th  .

 

DAY 3 -  On Day 3 we will be centering on the American Offensive of June 6th 1944 . Our 1st stop will be to the amazing museum at Port-En

-Bessin , the museum contains many amazing items recovered from the seas around the beaches . Next we move onto Omaha Beach and cemetery , you will walk the beach , see the vast cemetery and memorials and visit the new visitors center . We now move onto the highly acclaimed Omaha Beach Memorial Museum , we will also stop for lunch in the area .

After lunch we move onto Pointe Du Hoc and learn the amazing story of the rangers assault on the German fortifications . Our final 2 stops of the day will be the Musee Des Rangers at Grandcamp-maisy and the German Military Cemetery at La Cambe , this cemetery is set within 7 acres and is the home for 21300 German soldiers who fell during the fighting of 1944 .

 

DAY 4 - On day 4 we start day in L’aigle and its June 1944 museum before moving onto Montormel Memorial to learn of the Polish involvement in the battle for Normandy . Next we stop at Falaise to learn of this major battle of the Normandy campaign which cost the Germans over 400,000 men (killed,wounded or imprisoned) and 1500 tanks . After lunch we head back to the coast and visit Sword Beach and then Utah Beach .

 

DAY 5 - We Return home .
