Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 - Leaving France we will head North into Belgium and will be given time to settle into your hotel room . We will then give you the

Opportunity to go into the town of Ypres to visit the shops and WWI museum .

DAY 2 - The first stop of day two is the preserved trenches and museum at

Sanctuary Wood , considered by many to offer the finest preserved trenches on the Western front . We will also stop at Sanctuary Wood CWGC

Cemetery containing over 2000 burials . Our third stop is to the Hooge

Crater museum one of the best private museum’s on the Ypres Salient .

Next we move onto Tyne Cot Cemetery and memorial to the missing scene of the 1st gas attack of the war . We will now make our way back to the hotel to freshen up before attending the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate .

DAY 3 - Day 3 starts with us leaving Belgium and driving South into France . We will make our first stop of the day Vimy Ridge with it’s

preserved trench lines and monuments . Heading further South we will reach the Somme and our second stop The Newfoundland Memorial Park , here we will walk the trench lines and view the visitors centre . Next we head to Thiepval and the memorial to the missing . This monument contains the names of 72000 soldiers missing in action , the site also has a visitors centre.

Our final stop of day 3 is Delville Wood scene of some of the most deadly fighting during the Battle Of The Somme . The site contains a small

Museum , monuments and cemeteries .

DAY 4 - Our final day starts at the Lochnager Crater , the largest British mine crater on the Western front detonated 1st July 1916 . Next we head to the town of Peronne to its acclaimed museum of the great war . It is now time to head North again back to Calais and home .
