Tour Itinerary

This exciting 4 day tour takes you deep into the heart of Normandy’s past on a voyage of discovery in search of the 101st Airborne . Your guide has many interesting stories to tell at many of the out of the way places and at the scenes of major events like St Marie du Mont (including the gun battery at Holdy) and Utah Beach. You will follow the tragic story of a young

paratrooper from his grave in St Laurent Cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach to where he was mortally wounded then finally to the famous church at Angoville-au-Plein where he died. This route is also filled with visits to other 101^st sites including many ‘then and now’ photograph locations. A good illustration of this is a visit to the field depicting the Horsa glider that crashed on D-Day evening which appears in most history books.
