Tour Itinerary

 

 

Leaving the UK we will travel via the channel Tunnel to Calais .

From Calais the Tour takes us  south and into the Somme . Our 1st stop of the day is Delville Wood  scene of some of the most deadly fighting during the Battle Of The Somme . The site contains a small Museum , monuments and cemeteries . From Delville Wood we travel the short distance to High Wood , here you will learn of the battles to gain control of this piece of  high ground , in the surrounding area you will see the various Monuments and graves . Stop 3 see’s us at the Lochnager Crater , the largest British mine crater on the Western front detonated 1st July 1916 . Our final day of the tour starts at the Albert Musee Des Adris located in a series of tunnels below the Basillica Square , here there are numerous reconstructions of trench scenes and dugouts . Attached Is a very good shop selling battlefield relics (safe ones) . You will then have some free time to explore the town before we head back north to Calais and home .
